As I start to get inquiries now for 2015 I just wanted to give thanks to all the families that came to me to capture their memories in 2014. Since being back in California it was a rough start getting my name out there....and here I thought Okinawa was saturated with photographers. Boy did I get a rude awakening when coming to Oceanside. But I did it! Slowly but surly my Facebook page started gaining new likes from locals and then word of mouth started. I was a little nervous at first but just did what I do and kept trucking along. I was able to help out my husband with holiday expenses and birthday gifts which was my main goal. I accomplished that goal and now am in the process of setting new goals and adjustments for this coming year. Not only did I meet some amazing people, great kids and loving couples, I also had some returning families that I had the pleasure of shooting in Okinawa that are also now in California. All in all it was a great year for my business even thou it felt as if I was starting all over again. Learned that I have to believe in myself and have confidence that others love my work as much as I love photographing. Here's to 2015 and I can't wait to meet more families and hopefully see some returning ones as well!
