Griego {Family}

There is nothing like a bond between a mother and her boys.  I am so blessed to have crossed paths with Teresa.  She contacted me because she like my 'different' style and how I like to just have fun with my photos.  Teresa is a roller derby, tomboy, air force, fun, and kick ass mom of two teenaged boys.  This woman does it all and her boys were so well mannered it made me love her even more because of the way she is raising her boys.  While most families bond over going out, or staying home the Griego family loved to hit the streets on their long boards.  With these props, the Okinawa streets and this fun loving family I knew this would be a fun shoot. Our kids will always be our 'babies' an no matter how old they get take advantage and get in front of the camera with them.  I'm glad that not only Teresa did this but took advantage of her stay in Okinawa to capture the awesomeness in what is just down the street and in the ally ways.

 Gah, I have mentioned I miss Okinawa, yet?!?

Check out the following blog posts from around the world. Make sure to leave them some love too! Thank you!

L&A {Couples}

This session was such a fun, loving, and overall a great time.  Going back to this makes me miss this couple more than ever! During our three years in Okinawa the Martinez family was one that we got super close to, kids, husbands and of course Alex and I.  The Southeast Botanical gardens had just reopened their doors after being closed for 2 years so I was stoked I got to do a shoot there at least once before saying good-bye.  I wanted to do a couples shoot that was more of a passionate shoot.  Alex was quick to say yes when I asked if her and Luis would be game.  Was I surprised, not one bit! The two of them have a great style, are extremely passionate and goofy at the same time.  We got lucky with the weather as we seemed to be chasing clouds that day and the rain decided to move once we got to the gardens.  As much as I miss the Martinez family I am super excited that they are moving back this spring and will be in Cali during the summer! My countdown has officially started but until then I get to go back and reminisce with the photos I took of this wonderful couple!

 And this is why I love them! He's trying to 'sweep her off her feet' and all she can do is laugh

And because they are so fun to watch I asked them to dance <3

Rosacker {Family}

I took a step back from blogging and now I am ready to get at it again and make it a weekly habit.  I love sharing my sessions with the world and giving my clients that personal touch thru a blog.  So since I have been been out of the whole blogging routine minus a few personal blogs I am back at it! Going back to my Okinawa clients make me miss Okinawa oh so much.  Not only did Oki have an amazing backdrop for sessions the people I met are some of the nicest people, military and locals.

Amy came to me wanting to do a family session with her beautiful family.  I met her little girls prior to the shoot and I was in love.  They were so sweet and spunky.  I knew I would have fun with them.  The day of the shoot the little ones def did not disappoint.  They were such happy little girls and their parents were a perfect pair.  Together, the Rosacher family were go with the flow and just so natural.  Even thou most family shoots are 'posed' I like to let the kids be kids and that's exactly what the Rosacker girls did.  They were full of giggles, laughs and stories.  A perfect little family session!
